What’s in a wedding suite?

All the things! Whatever your heart desires. That’s the beauty of custom invitations, designed by an artisan, just for you. 

But, we have to start somewhere! First, we will select some core motifs to riff off of, and align on the tactical elements for your design. We may include a classic or loose modern take on a heraldic crest. Often our work together influences the feel of and aligns with event design, from the venue to botanicals. The great part is, you don’t need to decide on all this upfront.
You decide to partner with me, and I’m here to support your invitation suite and day-of graphic design, plus your aligned Zola wedding website design – full stop. That’s it. You don’t need to know yet just exactly what we’ll produce together. 

 

Amidst the project, we can decide how much we want to play with printing and production. How we bring your vision to life with digitized illustration, painting, calligraphy, typography, and graphic art design elements are up to us. During the project I’ll confirm best-fit printing and production materials. We can go classic, or explore vintage romance add-ons like wax, vellum, ribbon and more. I also support couture glow-up embellishments, as well as individually painting invitations. We might include calligraphy addressing for the invitation suite, or expand into bespoke day of goods. We’ll focus your wedding funds on your top priorities, to keep the dramatic impact where we want it most, and quiet moments that support your favorites.

INVITATION SUITE DESIGN

Full-service design of your illustration-led wedding suite, from save the dates to your invitations. We don’t make it complicated. Whatever print elements require graphic design, we are here for you. Monogram logo? Full spread illustration? Both? Let’s do it. 

Typical Design files include:

A7 Save the date card and envelope, A9 Invitation suite card, square to A6 detail enclosures, 4 Bar return cards and envelope(s).

Full-service graphic design for all things printed on paper for day-of content and memorabilia. We’ll bring the design from your suite into wayfinding and celebration materials.

PRODUCTION CONSIDERATIONS

All designs are illustrated, painted, digitized, and incorporate into a graphic design. How much extra choose to put into your production varies by household counts and production methods. See classic, romance to full flow-up examples below.

QUIET LUXURY

As a classic core, we print on neutral luxe cardstock – 100% recycled. We select matching cream envelopes. We add liners to our envelopes to add an illustrated color pop. We print return and variable guest addresses. We accept RSVPs for the invitations online.

We curate design-aligned domestic postage stamps for mailing.

Full assembly service takes care of getting everything out the door. 

VINTAGE ROMANCE

Our invitation suite is printed on hand made abaca paper with deckled edge, or double thick torn edge paper. We wrap the suite in translucent vellum, tied with 100% silk ribbon mounted to the vellum with a hand-applied wax seal. 

We use a color-of-choice envelope, with added thickness for absorbing calligraphy ink. Guest addresses are calligraphed. We may incorporate return addresses on enclosure sticker seals.

We curate vintage postage add-ons.

We hand letter day of place cards and escort cards.

FULL GLOW UP

Additional bespoke embellishments may include;

  • Complex format printing, incorporating at least one fold
  • Letterpress or metallic foil printing
  • Painting or hand-crafted foil gilding individual pieces – beyond digital printing
  • Double and triple thick paper
  • Custom wax seal design and wax color matching
  • Design files for day-of planner to incorporate wedding designs on large-scale physical elements
  • Hand-painted acrylic painting commission incorporated digitally or physically
  • Hand-lettered welcome signage 
  • Calligraphed love letters 
  • Hand-binded Vow booklets
  • Post-wedding modern dutch bouquet painting
